Donna has been in practice for more than 35 years and has been working alongside Dr. Van for more than 10 years. As she is starting her next chapter into retirement and spending more time with her family, we hope to still have a special visit from her on some days! She and her husband live in Oakton, VA and have two grown children, a daughter who is a nurse and a son who is in the construction industry. When not working, she enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, scrapbooking and baking.
Anna Lee was born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia. She spent the last 13 years in Louisiana, where she attended college and began her Dental Hygiene career. Recently she has returned to the area to be closer to family. Her work involves her extensive knowledge in managing both periodontal and preventative therapies. She shares her home with her chocolate lab, Frannie, and two cats. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, cooking and attempting to play the piano and guitar.
Jan is a native of the Washington, DC area and has been a dental hygienist for almost 40 years. She has been working with Dr. Van for more than 10 years and patients feel welcomed by her upbeat personality and fun sense of humor. She lives in Vienna, VA with her husband and their 2 Maltese dogs. Their older daughter recently graduated from JMU and their younger daughter is currently at VCU. Outside of work, she loves to bake and cook and stay fit. She is an avid runner, participating in numerous marathons each year.
Sierra earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 2007 and worked in Puerto Rico for 15 years before moving to Virginia. Her kind heartedness and natural compassion for patients connected her to joining Dr. Van and working with her chairside daily. She lives with her husband of almost 20 years and their daughter who is in eighth grade. Outside of work, she has a passion for dancing and staying fit. She has also recently returned to karate, in which she earned her black belt in the earlier years.
Alice joined the practice earlier this year as she was inspired to be part of at team and mission to improve the lives of people in the community. She has been in the educational field since earning her degree in Early Childhood Education. Originally from Brazil, she has been living in the Virginia area for a few years with her lovely husband. She loves to travel and explore new places on road trips. She enjoys playing board games and watching movies and has a great passion for cooking Brazilian food.
Patient Care Coordinator
Shannon is a graduate of Villanova University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management and Marketing. She has recently joined the practice to pursue her passion of helping people and engaging in the community. In joining the team, she aims to help patients have a seamless experience within the practice. Outside of the office, she enjoys reading, watching classic movies, and teaching her two cats new tricks.
Patient Relations Manager
Alexis was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA and relocated to the DC area last summer. Being involved in dentistry for more than 5 years, she joined Dr. Van's team this year to have the opportunity to help patients navigate through a positive experience. She is currently working on completing a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity and Computer Networking at the University of Maryland. While she has a passion for technology, she shares the same enthusiasm for the dental field. Outside of the office, she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her newly rescued dog, watching movies, reading books and spending time with her loving husband.
Angela is a graduate of Virginia Tech and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She has recently started her first year at the Touro College of Dental Medicine in New York City. She continues to create a great balance between education and work as she remains a part of Dr. Van's team in portraying the mission of the practice. Outside of the office, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family and friends as well as creating and crafting art projects.
