Anna Lee
REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST
Anna Lee was born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia. She spent more than 10 years in Louisiana, where she attended college and began her Dental Hygiene career. She returned to the area 5 years ago to be closer to her family and has been with Dr. Van since then. Her work involves her extensive knowledge in managing both periodontal and preventative therapies. Her gentle nature, paired with a sharp clinical eye are a great combination for patients that meet her. She shares her home with her chocolate lab, Frannie, and two cats. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, cooking and attempting to play the piano and guitar.
Sierra
DENTAL ASSISTANT
Sierra's natural compassion for taking care of people has been a perfect asset for her lead assistant role with Dr. Van during the past 10 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 2007 and worked in Puerto Rico for 15 years before moving to Virginia. She is known to patients as having endless positivity and carrying the brightest smile, radiating throughout the entire office daily! Outside of work, she lives with her husband of more than 20 years and their daughter, who is in college. She loves cooking, dancing, and staying fit. She is also active with training and competing in karate, in which she earned her black belt in the earlier years.
Mariuxi
DENTAL ASSISTANT
After living in Miami during the past 25 years, Mariuxi relocated to the Northern Virginia area a year ago to be closer to her family. With 10 years of experience as a dental assistant she is a wonderful fit to our team. Patients meeting her quickly discover that she is one of the most sincerest and kindest people, always ready to put them at ease during their visits to the office. She loves being a mom to three kids, who are ages 23, 21 and 15. Outside of the office, she is happiest spending time with her husband and family, cooking and playing basketball with her youngest.
Alicia
BUSINESS MANAGER
Alicia is originally from Los Fresnos,Texas but Virginia has been her home since early childhood. She previously had a career in the medical field for 8 years before transitioning to the dental industry, where she has held a leadership role in practice management during the past 10 years. People that meet her find that she has a natural grace and kindness while she works efficiently to optimize office operations, ensuring that every patient has the best experience at our practice. Outside of her career, health and fitness are a big part of her life as she exercises daily with Pilates, Barre, Warrior Sculpt and strength training. Her amazing discipline has even inspired her to compete in bodybuilding competitions in the recent years. She has found her biggest passion in being a proud wife and mom to two wonderful kids who keep her on her toes as much as her workouts. Our entire team is thrilled to welcome Alicia as the newest member of our dental family!
Jan
REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST
Jan is a proud Washington DC area native and has been helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles for over 40 years. After beginning her studies at the University of Maryland, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Old Dominion University—and she’s been passionate about patient care ever since. Jan believes that great dental care starts with a connection. She’s known for her gentle touch, clinical expertise, and the time she takes to make every patient feel comfortable and informed. She especially enjoys educating patients on how small daily habits can make a big difference in long-term oral health. To stay current in the ever-evolving world of dentistry, Jan regularly attends continuing education courses and gives back by volunteering at a free dental clinic in rural Fredericksburg, VA. For her, helping those without access to care is both a privilege and a calling. Outside the office, Jan enjoys escaping to Key West with her husband, visiting her two grown daughters whenever she can, and staying active. You might find her running, paddleboarding, working out, or cheering on her favorite football and soccer teams. Her Maltese pup keeps her on her toes—and she’s always up for a live concert or great playlist.
Grace
PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR
Grace was born and raised in Vienna, VA and has a great passion for building strong communication and fostering meaningful connections. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University. Growing up with both parents being entrepreneurs in the restaurant industry, she is inspired to deliver exceptional service and focus on the details, guiding patients in our practice towards a seamless visit from start to end. ​Outside of the office, Grace loves spending time with her family and friends and staying active. Having studied abroad previously, she developed a love for traveling and experiencing different cultures.
Dawn
REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST
With over 35 years of experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist, Dawn brings more than just clinical expertise to the chair—she brings heart, compassion, and a deep commitment to helping others. She has worked with patients of all ages in both pediatric and general practice settings, always focusing on building trust and delivering care that makes a real difference. Dawn’s dedication to oral health goes far beyond the clinic. For six years, she volunteered with the US Virgin Islands Dental Association, helping to organize meetings and lead outreach efforts that supported dental professionals and underserved communities. Her sense of service also extends to the Coast Guard Auxiliary, where she’s been involved in search and rescue missions, and to local initiatives like MCCP, where she provides dental screenings to those in need. At the heart of her career is a simple belief: everyone deserves to be cared for with respect, empathy, and excellence. Outside of work, Dawn lives life to the fullest with her two sons, Giovanni and Christianno. Whether they’re out on the water paddleboarding or snorkeling, diving into a competitive game night, camping under the stars, or exploring new places together, Dawn treasures every moment. She’s a certified scuba diver, has rowed with the PW Crew novice team, captained boating adventures, and is always ready for the next journey—especially with family by her side. Dawn isn’t just a dental professional—she’s a lifelong learner, a community builder, and a mom who brings warmth and energy to everything she does.
